The waves of the sea help me get back to me. ~ Jill Davis

Dear Embodied Hearts and Dancing Souls,
After a month of slog, Life’s waves lifted me this past week. Literally, I jumped into the waves of Lake Michigan—a HUGE body of fresh water where my body was surprised to find a lack of salt, pebbles or jellyfish. With my InterPlay colleagues, I allowed the waves to do what they do best: gently, repeatedly push me, lift me, and sometimes full on submerge me. I played more than I usually do at the beach.
Lift 1: Grateful to have been invited to an inaugural InterPlay Educators retreat where I was surrounded by individuals committed to bringing IP to schools and organizations. We visioned grandly and identified practical pathways. All while we played and connected. More than one person stood up to say they got paid to Play each day. :) I felt plenished by the gifts and talents of those who attended. It was a perfect step on my path of vulnerability for standing up in a new way professionally.
I left Michigan with a new soul friendship and that perfect moment where beach meets greasy french fries. (Treading waves makes me hungry!!)
Lift 2. I got to LEAD!! In fact, I co-led with a Leader-in-Training. I celebrate the simplicity with which our collaboration unfolded. That, as a recovering achiever, I could simply go on a walk with my co-lead and let it unfold! More joy, no stress. I was told my compassion and joy spilled out of my body for others to experience. Apparently this is solidly in me. I LOVE listening to others Body to Body.
Lift 3: I truly hum at a different frequency when I activate my super listening powers. I am currently supporting a few young people using body-to-body listening. I am not in control of when they step on my path. That they stepped in now feels a fitting tribute to my beloved Aunt Jane. And this time more than ever, when the world is asking us to rearrange it, they need us to be available to them.
Lift 4: I am celebrating two things about one moment. I stepped onto a dais and spoke to a new group of people about InterPlay and Body Wisdom. It was a small announcement just a few minutes long. Hopefully people felt a connection to the message. I also celebrate having two individuals in the audience who came to support me. I so appreciate this. THE UNFOLDING IS HAPPENING.
The notes this week are peaceful, not profound. With so much Love for you, your journey and your unfolding.
Stay #heartwoke.
